Table Tennis Handicap Tournament 2025
Tournament Details
- Date: Saturday September 6th 2025
- Venue: West Worthing Club, Squash Courts (1 – 3 & Petigrew Room)
- Start Time: 2pm
- Entry Fee: £5
- Open To: All skill levels — beginners to seasoned pros (West Worthing Club table tennis, combined and racquets members only)
Handicap Format Explained
This tournament uses a handicap system to balance skill levels and ensure competitive, exciting matches:
- Each player is assigned a handicap score based on previous performance or known skill level.
- Matches will be the best of 3 sets played to 11.
- The lower-skilled player starts with a point advantage, depending on the handicap difference.
- For example: If Player A has a handicap of 3 and Player B has 8, then Player B would begin the match with a 5-point lead.
- Players will be put into groups of 4 and each player will play each other in their group with the top two players advancing through to the knockout stage.

- Deadline to Register: Friday 5th September.
- How to Register: please complete the google form to secure your place.
- Spots are limited, so sign up early to secure your place!
