Pilates is for everyone and works the entire body through a series of mat-based exercises, concentrating on slow and measured movements in order to create lean and stronger muscles around your torso and core. A gentle but highly effective session for improving posture, flexibility and preventing injury.
Weekly Pilates classes are provided by an experienced, qualified instructor, and are suitable for all abilities. We welcome non-members and members alike.
Pilates is a great complimentary exercise for racquet sports players as it:
- Strengthens and stabilises your core, helping you generate the power you need during the game whilst helping to protect your back.
- Improves proprioception and neuromuscular control = quicker reactions and smoother transitions.
- Increases your flexibility and range of motion
- Trains symmetry. With racquet sports, you will naturally favour one side of your body which means the other may be weaker, Pilates will help you balance this out.
Exercise mats and equipment are available to purchase from the Club Reception.

Relax in our comfortable club lounge and enjoy a coffee and a chat with others after your class.
Our classes are 60 minutes long and run on a squash court or in an upstairs studio, accessed by stairs.
