Play Padel at West Worthing Club

Padel – heralded as the World’s fastest growing sport – now at West Worthing Club.

Affectionately described as the ‘lovechild’ of tennis and squash, padel is fun, super easy to learn and because it’s usually played as doubles, it’s really social too.

It’s a strategic game which isn’t dominated by power or strength, making it suitable for friends and families to play together, regardless of age, ability or gender.

The padel court, with its glass and mesh walls, is around two thirds smaller than a tennis court, so there’s less ground to cover. You’ll use a short handled racquet and lower-density tennis balls that provide great controllability and if you are familiar with tennis, you’ll find padel scoring is just the same.

Padel is easy to learn. There are no overarm serves to master and you can play the ball off the glass walls meaning the rallies are longer and more engaging for every player on court. Plus, those glass walls mean you rarely need to chase after the ball between points!

Why play padel?

Padel is addictive. Don’t take it from us, just ask someone who has tried it and you’ll find them enthusing about their new passion.

Whilst tennis takes years to master, padel takes just a few hours to learn. Even half an hour on court should give you time to pick up many aspects of the game and you’ll enjoy a great workout too.

Learning padel will improve your fitness, agility and general well-being.

Celebrities like Andy Murray, David Beckham, Aimee Fuller and Cristiano Ronaldo all confess to being hooked on padel.

Join us and play padel. We think you’ll love it.
