Competition

For members who wish to play competitive matches the Club enters teams in the National Club League and Sussex County Leagues. Internally throughout the year the club organise fifteen Adult Box Leagues for singles and doubles and ten Junior Singles Box Leagues. For team members Match Practice Night is held every Tuesday with one of the coaches in attendance.

The Club’s Closed Championships are held between June and September each year with 17 different Level and Handicap Events, culminating in Finals Day which is followed by a Presentation Evening with Dinner and Dance.

At regular intervals through the year the Club holds American Tournaments for those members who wish to socialise as well as play in a competition.

For one week in July the Club act as host to a division of the Ladies County Tennis Week.

In August The Sussex Open Tournament, part of The British Tour, is organised and played at the Club.
