Junior Tennis Programme
West Worthing Club is proud to be an LTA accredited Performance Centre for tennis and mini tennis, making it the perfect place for children of all ages to develop to their full potential in a safe and family friendly environment.
With our great team of coaches and permanent indoor facilities, our junior tennis coaching programme is recognised as being one of the best in the South East of England.
Mini Tennis Tots (ages 2-4 Years)
Young children as young as 2 years can learn ball and racquet skills during individual sessions with one of our experienced coaches. Parents are welcome to join in with these sessions.
Mini Tennis (ages 4-8 Years)
From the age of 4 years, the club offers regular mini tennis sessions using a smaller court, softer balls and shorter racquets making this a great introduction to the game for younger children.
Mini group sessions are available after school on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and on a Sunday morning during term time. These courses run on our indoor courts for a duration of 6 weeks with each session lasting 45 minutes.
Junior Tennis (ages 9-17 Years)
Junior groups catering for all abilities are held after school on Wednesdays and during the day on Saturdays. Courses run on our indoor courts for a duration of 6 weeks with each session lasting 1 hour.
Junior Club Night
Monday evening from 5.00pm until 7.00pm is Junior Club Night! This social tennis session allows children to play friendly tennis matches against others of a similar ability. The session is run by our Head Coach and is open to members and non-members.
School Holiday Sessions
Our team of coaches run regular school holiday sessions for mini and junior players.
Competitive Junior Tennis
The Club runs the largest Junior Competition Programme in Sussex with events every week, giving our Mini and Junior tennis players the chance to compete regularly against players from across the South East. Juniors from the Club are successful at County, National and International levels. Team Tennis, which runs during the summer term allows selected Juniors the opportunity to represent the Club in various leagues.
