Members, new and old, can contact Frank Lee, as Head of Croquet Section, for information, suggestions and help in getting involved with events and fixtures.
The club has two croquet lawns and an active membership followiing the re-introduction of Croquet to the club this year. If you would like to try us out please do call the club and arrange to come to one of the organised sessions or make arrangements to meet one of the regular players who will be happy to introduce you to the game and tell you more about the club.
The game of Croquet can be played either as doubles or singles. Two games can be played on one lawn, different coloured balls indicate who plays whom. Blue and Black v Red and Yellow and Pink and White v Green and Brown. Coloured clips on the hoops indicate the state of play.
There is a handicap system which enables players of different abilities to compete, as in conventional golf. The game is for players of any age!
There are two forms of the game Golf Croquet (GC) and Association Croquet (AC).
